Studio Stories
A Pottery Blog
Loving pottery has been a passion since I was a child. My Amma (Icelandic for grandma), my mom and myself would gift each other pottery and head out shopping for the perfect piece together. If only we found a little highway store that we could build on our collections. In 2003, after binge visiting pottery studios that summer, I turned my love of collecting into making. My Amma only got to see my very first completed small bowl, but I shared her passion of making from the moment I got on a wheel. Studio stories is my way of sharing the making of the pottery, a glimpse into my weekly successes and sometimes some frustrations. It is one thing to use pottery from an artist, but another thing to connect weekly with the process of making.
