Embrace the Magic of Seasons Changing with Elemental Claycation Elevated

It has been two years of Elemental Claycation, a dream created with collaboration with Tourism Sask and WESK. I let my teaching contract go in the fall of 2022 officially to lean into pottery full time. It was the fall of 2022 that I took a class with WESK and a class with Tourism Sask that brought a seed of an idea to the magical Elemental Claycation it is today! Elemental Claycation has not been the static experience I started with.

The only way to truly understand the magic of an Elemental Claycation is to experience it yourself!

If you have been following along for awhile you know that there are changes to Elemental Claycation to elevate it. The biggest and most impactful will be the School House Studio being home to creating and connecting using clay. For two years, I have hosted many guests in my studio to create, but all while my production had to get moved out of the way to make room for everyone. It worked, until it became a chore. My production of pottery has increased as well over the two years and my studio was becoming very small for both parts of my business. Did it work? Yes it worked beautifully! Now it is going to be absolutely incredible! You will just have to show up and check it out.

I am very excited to announce my pure happiness for Adrienne Jackson who has moved to her new chapter in her life...which meant that I needed to find a new chef. She couldn't commute many many hours to provide food. I have two different chefs as we move forward and that brings with it so many different and yummy flavours of food. Know that the quality of food is just as planned...you will talk about the meals.

What hasn't changed is my passion for teaching pottery and having everyone successful on the pottery wheel and studio. I say that you will make 8-10 pieces over the weekend. I think I have only had one person make 8 pieces and everyone else has made a few more pieces. Each piece is unique in that the guest puts their touch to the techniques I teach. I learn so much from others when they are learning that allows my own pottery practice to grow and become stronger.

Speaking of stronger; I am getting stronger in my healing from the car accident 6 weeks ago. I have been on the wheel and flirted with it, while listening to my body and how it responds amongst its injuries and desire to just be back to "normal". I hosted a claycation last weekend...the last full one in my personal studio. And I am gearing up to host another claycation this weekend as a hybrid between the School House Studio and my personal studio. I am so excited that this little dream of an experience has and will grow into its full potential in the new space.

There's only one way to feel the magic of a Elemental Claycation-by being here. Spaces are intentionally small (just 6 guests per retreat), and they fill quickly.

Join me before the year ends and experience it for yourself.
